This webinar will provide nurse scientists with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the
complexities of data acquisition and analytics in their research. By addressing barriers to accessing data
and emphasizing the importance of data transparency, participants will gain insights into leveraging data
while exploring innovative research areas and implementation strategies to enhance the impact of their
work. This session, presented by the Clinical Nurse Scientist Special Interest Group, is designed for nurse scientists looking to improve their research plans through
effective data utilization.
Registration is open to CANS members at no additional cost, and non-members at $60.
This webinar will be 60 minutes and 1 nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hour will be available for purchase at $20 in the registration portal.
Learning Outcomes:
As a result of participating in this webinar, attendees will:

Identify sources of real world data in clinical settings and discuss the challenges and considerations of using these data in nursing research.

Describe the significance of data transparency and the concepts of data mining, predictive modeling, and artificial intelligence, along with their potential influence on future methodologies to enhance patient outcomes.
