In our ever-evolving technological landscape, virtual nursing has emerged as a promising avenue to advance quality care delivery and address the nursing workforce challenges. While offering exciting solutions to timely nursing issues, the implementation of virtual nursing models of care and technology-assisted nursing into current health care practices raises critical questions around established competencies, licensure, standards of practice, regulation, evaluation, financial implications, and wider considerations.
