Letter to Congress in Support of the I CAN Act

The Academy sent letters to Representatives Joyce (R-OH), Bonamici (D-OR), Underwood (D-IL), and Kiggans (R-VA) and Senators Merkley (D-OR) and Lummis (R-WY) for their introduction of the Improving Care and Access to Nurses (I CAN) Act (H.R.1317/S.575). The I CAN Act would be an important step to increase access to quality care and lower costs in the Medicare and Medicaid programs by removing unnecessary barriers to practice for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs).
