Comments to the National Science Foundation on AI Action Plan

The Academy sent a letter to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in response to their February 6, 2025, request for information on developing an artificial intelligence (AI) action plan. The letter emphasized the importance of properly addressing ethical issues related to AI use, the impact of AI on patients, providers, and system burdens, the need for data accuracy, validity, and reliability, and the necessity of research investments to monitor the impact of deployed AI.
