Sign-On Letter with Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance

The Academy joined 132 organizations on a letter led by the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) to Senate appropriations leaders. The letter thanked the Senate appropriations leaders for including $12 million for the Screening and Treatment for Maternal Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder State Grant Program (HRSA State Grant) and $8 million for the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline within their Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 appropriations package. The letter also urges these leaders to match the House Appropriations Committee-passed $13.5 million level for the HRSA State Grant so that more states and communities can expand life-saving maternal mental health screening and treatment.
